A Gothic cathedral interior showcasing hard-surface architectural detailing and dramatic lighting.
Crafted within Unreal Engine 5 over a 15-week semester, this cathedral is built from hard-surface modeling through repeated modules in Maya. Procedural material work in Substance Designer, combined with lighting techniques, forms a dramatic yet cohesive final image. The lighting highlights the contrast between the outer cool tones and the centerpieces' amber color scheme.
This piece is based on the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The stained glass window design is from the Trinity United Methodist Church in Madison, Indiana.
